Miles of sandy beaches are to be found at Happisburgh, Mundesley and Sea Palling and are ideal for children of all ages.
Scenic walks through lush countryside and pine woodland for walkers with or without dogs, along with vast areas of beaches lined with sand dunes at Winterton and Eccles.
The Norfolk Broads are a short drive away offering boat hire, fishing, river trips and craft centres to explore. Sailing is very popular at many of the broads and space for boats is available on site at the farm.
Within easy reach are the pretty fishing villages on the north coast with their bird reserves, seal watching trips and inns serving the local seafood, whilst Cromer and Sheringham both offer golf and traditional seaside attractions including Cromer's famous End of Pier shows. Sailing is popular at Blakeney, Morston and Burnham. Horseriding can be enjoyed at West Runton and golf courses are located at Cromer, Sheringham and Mundesley.
Fishing is popular both from the seashore and on escorted trips on boats from Yarmouth. Coarse fishing can be found close by at East Ruston lakes and Felmingham lakes. Many of the Broads offer good fishing too.
The medieval City of Norwich with it's cathedral and castle has an extensive array of shops and places to eat, cinemas, galleries and theatres and is only 14 miles away. National Trust properties at Blickling and Felbrigg ar appoximately 20 minutes drive away.
There are steam railways at High Kelling - Sheringham and Wroxham - Aylsham. For cyclists there are many interesting places and quiet lanes to explore. Gardeners will delight in the area with the superb East Ruston Gardens, The Fairhaven Trust water gardens and Hoveton Hall gardens to name but a few. North Walsham provides a wide range and high standard of facilities making a stay in this area very relaxing.
There are numerous restaurants and inns within a fifteen minute drive from the cottages.
